Rare Earth Studio Pre-Apprenticeship Program

(Pre-requisite to Rare Earth Studio US Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Status)
Intensive Workshops, Friday and Saturday each week
Session I: January 20 - March 3, 2012

Rare Earth Studio Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a pre-requisite to the Rare Earth Studio U. S. Department of Labor’s Office of Registered Apprenticeship status. The program’s courses are designed to teach the basic concepts in jewelry design and production, advancing students to designing, creating and producing fine jewelry and objets d’arte, ultimately using high caratage of gold & silver.

Continuing Education opportunities to change, empower and enhance lives in challenging economic times
November 29-December 3, 2010 and December 6-10, 2010
6 to 9 pm each evening

The Virgin Islands Department of Education's Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center, The Caribbean Islands Education Foundation, Inc. at its Rare Earth Studio in historic Charlotte Amalie along with the Virgin Islands Department of Labor are collaborating on St. Thomas to sponsor internationally respected Gemological Institute of America instruction for the GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional Intensive Diploma.

GIA’s Accredited Jewelry Professional Intensive Diploma Program – May 24-28, 2010 – This one-week intensive class meets each weekday – Monday through Friday – from 9 am to 4 pm at the Rare Earth Studio, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

Pure Caribbean & Pure Caribbean Galleries

The "crowning jewel" of our organization is Pure Caribbean. Pure Caribbean, a USPTO registered certification program embraces creativity exclusively designed and produced in the Caribbean Islands. Works of art will include jewelry and other native-made "true" arts and crafts. The ultimate goal is to have individual galleries on each island reflecting each island's culture and creativity.
