About
Building a foundation on which YOU can participate in the jewelry industry in the Virgin Islands and throughout the Caribbean Islands.
The Caribbean Islands Education Foundation was established in 2006 after receiving a substantial 2005 Virgin Islands Legislative Appropriation for scholarships and educational programs development relating to the immense jewelry industry.
The foundation evolved from the commitment of the Caribbean Islands Alumni Chapter of the Gemology Institute of America (CIACGIA), established in 2004, to bring education opportunities to the people of the Caribbean Islands utilizing the world renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA) educational program. Classes are offered through Rare Earth Studio.
The Caribbean Islands Educational Foundation, Inc., admits students of any race, color, national or ethic origin to all the rights, priviledges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origins in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs.
